The My-Cap Story Begins: Why We Started Making Reusable Keurig Pods in 2008

It was 2008. Keurig machines were exploding in offices and homes across America. The convenience was undeniable — pop in a K-Cup, press a button, get great coffee.

We bought one. But we saw a problem.

Every single-use pod was headed straight to the landfill. Millions of them. They were expensive. We knew there had to be a better way.

I did not know it at the time but that's why My-Cap was founded.

We started in a garage literally with one simple goal: create a high-quality, reusable pod that fits perfectly in every Keurig brewer. No plastic waste. No compromise on taste. Just fresh ground coffee, your way, every time.

After many false starts, our solution was a reusable cap that allowed you to reuse the original K-Cup. They were designed, tested, and refined right here in the USA. We listened to early Keurig owners who wanted sustainability without sacrificing the morning ritual they loved.

2008 wasn't just the year we launched — it was the year we committed to making single-serve coffee better for the planet.
