Operation
This mold requires you to remove it after each injection and manually open the mold to remove the part. This part is fairly easy to remove. You may have to use pliers to pull it out. Try to do this in a way that does not damage the part. It should not stick too much. Once the part is removed, put it back together, and place the mold back on the mold alignment plate (back left). Hit cycle again to start the next part. There is a pause after injection to let the part cool off in the mold to prevent warping. While waiting, clean the part just pulled out of the machine so there is no need for additional cleaning time.
- Keep the mold warm/hot. It is easier to get the part out of the mold hot.
- Try to make the part stick to the B side such that the inside of the part is exposed. It is easier to grab some of the inside structure to pull it out of the mold.
- Use silicone quick release to help release the mold. If they turn white, you can run them through a flame and it goes away.
Quality Checks
- Make sure the part is fully formed.
- Check that the part is flat and not warped.
- Remove any flashing or gate remains.
- When lever is screwed in it should not rub back of big hole
- Unit must be insertable to its mating part (like RF18)
