Operation
Once the mold is installed and up to temperature, the machine will automatically open and close the mold each cycle. Your job is to remove the part after the mold opens. After the part is removed you have to remove the two pins that form the through holes on the parts and reinstall them in the bottom mold. They are held in place with magnets. Don't wait to long to pull them apart. It gets harder to remove the pins as it cools.
- Keep the mold warm/hot. It is easier to get the part out of the mold hot.
- Try to make the part stick to the B side (bottom) so the inside of the part is exposed — it is easier to grab internal structure to pull it free.
- Use silicone quick release to help release the part if needed. If parts turn white, run them through a flame and it goes away.
- Once the part is removed and pins are reinserted, hit cycle again to start the next shot.
Quality Checks
- Make sure the part is fully formed.
- Check that the part is flat and not warped.
- Remove any flashing or gate remains.
- Verify the part matches the Recubed Front Platform product page: dorfmueller.us/products/recubed-front-platform-family
