Operation

This mold requires no intervention on each shot.  Just remove the part and hit cycle again to start the next part.  There is a large pause after injection to let the part cool off in the mold to prevent warping.  While waiting, clean the part just pulled out of the machine so there is no need for additional cleaning time.

The ejection system does not push the part completely out of the mold.  You may have to use your hands to free by pushing it up.  I have made a leveraging tool to help do this (see below).

We have found that you can shoot this part with a 5 second delay before opening.if you drop the zone one temperature to around 180 degrees C. This is right above where you can shoot it not shoot it. We were doing a 30 delay. Also, even at this temperature the 3 holes where the bottom screws into tend to fill up. We found that if you take a Allen wrench and twirl it in all three holes and then drop the part into a plastic bin with a hole in the side and a fan blowing on it you will end up with a part with clean holes and little flashing.

Quality Checks

  1. Make sure the part is fully formed.
  2. Using a .125" drill installed in a holder make sure all of the 3 holes are free of any plastic oozing back into the cavity.
  3. On the top clean up screw holes where the screw head sits.
  4. Check that the part is flat and not warped.
